Responsibilities: Perform general accounting activities in a timely manner and according to standard operating procedures. This work may include, but is not limited to:
- Manage rent deposits, manage bank accounts, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for managed properties.
- Calculate monthly management fees based on management agreements.
- Post monthly rent charges and send tenant rent statements (Yardi experience preferred).
- Approve weekly AP based on cash flow.
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
- Perform account reconciliation at the end of the month.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for properties.
- Record monthly management fees, debt service payments, and accrued/prepaid expenses.
- Prepared monthly management reports for managed properties.
- Review monthly property accountant reports and assist with month end questions.
- Assist in Annual real estate tax accruals, payment, and true up escrow balances.
- Guides and answers daily questions from PM accounting team.
- Addresses accounting concerns from property management, clients, and vendors.
- Three to four years of computerized accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient data entry skills.
- Multi-family experience preferred.
- General math skills.
